What Does Etna Get for $400,000 a year? When people tell you what they are: believe them.

Since I am censored by Trustee Evans’s Social Media Team on Etna Community Facebook, I will continue to post here on this blog. I posted (below) this on Evans’s Trustee Page (where he theoretically can’t block me). He does many of his posts on Etna Community FB, which I cannot even read (total ban). He gets very angry if you disagree with him. Or post a satirical political cartoon, though we do not attack the person, just his actions, deeds, words, and results. Also, the COE (Cost of Evans) is considerable.

Thankfully, Trustee Evans is here to save us. Using his favorite pronoun, “I” (10 times) in this screed. He constantly proclaims he is the only one who knows what the Township needs. It’s an Election year, so attacks from Evans will intensify while Evans blocks those who disagree with him from Etna Community FB; I’ll post where I can. There are other public forums. Some of those “banned folks” say Mark will be “sponsored” by Strawser Paving. I haven’t heard anything about that, but he was probably salesman of the year in 2024. It might make a funny satirical cartoon. Well, enough with silly speculation, let’s move on to what we do know from Mark Evans’s own words and testimony.

I hope voters do take his advice, “We deserve better.” Evans has answers for everything except his fascination with passwords, email, banking, security, involvement with the former fiscal officer, and Township Bank accounts with Julie Varian 6 months after her authority ended. Did Julie Varian, unprompted by Mark, access Township Bank Accounts and then spontaneously call Mark with the information? Mark? It is a yes or no question. Mark?

Also, there is no answer on why 10 people have been driven from or left the township. The latest is Susan Bedsole, which Mark revered initially, like Burkholder, who he attacks daily.

The Township has fed 10 people to the Evans monster in 2 or 3 years and even put in 4 or his “Evans-approved cronies (Marks’s term), and he still attacks and is never satisfied.

Is Mark still butt-hurt at being removed as president in 2022 after a few months of insanity? And reportedly spending $65,000 to $85,000 in legal fees? It seems like it, but Evans returning to this board on Jan 26 would only perpetuate the problems of the township. Trustee Evans believes the world runs on power and hierarchy. Not cooperation and trust.

He confirms his power belief theme in his text messages (the ones he finally admitted were his on the stand in the lawsuit where he directed and led the attack on my company). He laments, “We had the power, then McKee flipped.” said Evans; later, “I hope she [Mckee] and her family can withstand the attacks.” Evans: “I am going to keep loading Nita (former administrator, as he calls her now) up with records requests.” So Evans’s goals, as he confirmed under oath, aren’t about improving the township or his euphemistic “proper administration.” It’s about Evan’s Authoritarian control of the Township; he wants to become what he claims others are. Trustee Evans has shown us for three and one-half years in words and deeds that he is an authoritarian who MUST have total control.

Let’s not gloss over the negative financial impact of Trustee Evans [allowed by Burkholder in 2024]; let’s call it the “Cost of Evans (COE). Could a trustee with a $25,000 salary cost the Township more than $400,000 in one year (2024)? That’s pretty pricey, all because of hate and the inability to get along with others.

The vendetta against the Hansons (Nita and me) cost the township $157,000 at least. I’ll post a breakdown at Etna Today. Hate is expensive. Pursuing patently unwinnable cases (dismissed on five counts) is what Evans had to testify in the Frivolous prosecution case (code 2323.51) that awarded only a return of the $27,000 in fees we spent defending Evans nonsense (of course, now, in an election year, it was all Gary’s idea-yet Evans voted for it).

The $157,000 or $117,000 cash spent on Evans’s hate for the Hansons does not include soft cost estimates as GAAP methods from SHRM, the Society of Human Resource Managers has established for over 20 years. Without the SHRM replacement calculation, Evans cost us $200,000 +/- in 2024 and $450,000 or more.

Follow the money

According to the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the cost of replacing a fired employee can be significant. On average, it costs a company 6 to 9 months of an employee’s salary to replace them. For example, if an employee earns $60,000 annually, the replacement cost would range from $30,000 to $45,000. These costs typically include expenses related to recruiting (such as advertising and hiring recruiters), onboarding, and training the new hire. Additional factors, like lost productivity during the transition and the time spent by other employees covering the vacant role, can increase the total cost. For more precise calculations tailored to a specific organization, SHRM provides a turnover cost calculation spreadsheet as a resource. https://enrich.org/the-true-cost-of-employee-turnover-financial-wellness-enrich/

In summary, trustee Evans obstructs progress, meetings, and productive conversations and spreads his workplace bullying on Facebook (especially on Etna Community FB, where it goes unchallenged). Trustee Evans seems to be the Adam Schiff of Etna, spreading misinformation, attacking, and censoring opponents.
